CONTEST RULES
K-POP DANCE CONTEST WINTER 2024
I. General Information
-
The organizer of the competition is MiOhi (entered into CEIDG under NIP number 6372027174), hereinafter referred to as the Organizer.

The subject of the regulations is the “Magnificon K-pop Dance Contest” competition, hereinafter referred to as the Competition.
-
The competition is divided into two stages:

Stage one - elimination stage, consisting of sending an application via the application form
-
Stage two - final stage, consisting of a live performance during the event stage one will take place.

Stage one will take place online. It will last from 27.09.2024 from 19:00 to 10.11.2024, until 23:59.
-
The results of the first stage will be announced on 11.11.2024.
-
In the first stage, the Organizer decides on the qualification for the second stage.
-
The second stage of the competition will take place during the Magnificon EXPO 2024 event, in EXPO Kraków at 9 Galicyjska Street in Kraków (hereinafter referred to as the Event) on 01.12.2024 at 12:00.

In the second stage, the Jury selected by the Organizer decides on the selection of the winners of the Competition, which will be announced before the end of the second stage.

The condition for participation in the Competition is to deliver an audiovisual recording by the deadline set by the Organizer, which meets the conditions discussed in §4 of the Regulations (hereinafter referred to as the Competition Entry) and to correctly complete the competition entry, hereinafter referred to as the Entry.

The sponsor of the prizes in the competition is the Organizer.

The aim of the competition is to promote Korean pop culture and integrate the community of K-pop fans.​

II. Participants of the Contest
-
Any person who is at least sixteen years old on the day of Stage Two and is included in a correctly completed Application (located at: LINK), hereinafter referred to as the Participant, may participate in the contest.

Participants under eighteen years of age who have been entered into the Contest are required to have written parental consent, using the form prepared by the Organizer (CONSENT), to participate in the Contest and to participate in the Event on the day of Stage Two.

Contest Participants form groups of at least 2 people, hereinafter referred to as the Team.
-
Each Contest Participant is entitled to participate in the Contest in only one Team.
-
Each Team should select a person who will deliver the Contest Entry to the Organizer and correctly complete the Application, hereinafter referred to as the Team Leader.
-
Each Team may submit only one Contest Entry and complete only one Application.
-
Contest Participants may not be persons acting actively as the Organizer.
-
Each Team Leader has the right to edit and/or withdraw the Entry no later than the day before the end of Stage One.
-
Each Participant who qualifies for Stage Two is required to have a ticket entitling them to be at the Event on the day of the Stage Two finale. Tickets can be purchased on the Event website at: LINK

III. Contest Work

To qualify for the Contest, the Contest Entry attached to the Entry must meet the following conditions:
-
The Entry must be an audiovisual recording (image + sound) with a length corresponding to the length of the original piece performed by the K-pop artist (mashups or remixes are not permitted, except for official remixes used or produced by the original artist)

Participants have a choice of any K-pop song released up to 2015 (including)
-
The Entry must present at least two people performing an original choreography to a piece performed by the K-pop artist. (XG is also acceptable)
-
The work must present the same number of people as in the original K-pop group (does not apply to “backup dancers”).
-
The work must be in good quality (at least 720p), sufficiently clear, and clearly audible.
-
The work must be an original, unmodified recording (the only permitted modification is adding an audio track), not previously published on social media.
-
The competition work must be attached to the Entry in the form of a link to an audiovisual recording on a virtual drive (Google Drive / OneDrive / Mega etc.) or a link to a non-public video on the YouTube platform.
-
The work cannot contain profanity, offensive or illegal content, and advertising content regarding any other entities.
-
The work cannot violate the rights of third parties, including in particular: personal rights and copyrights.

The costumes used in the Entry may differ from those used during the Event.
-
Works that do not meet at least one of the above conditions will not be qualified for Stage One of the Competition.

Works to which the Organizer does not gain access will not be qualified for Stage One of the Competition.

The work submitted by the Team Leader obliges the Team to perform during Stage Two with the same piece that is included in the Competition Work.

IV. Course of the Contest
-
The Team Leader sends the Application attached with the Competition Entry.
-
Selection of Applications by the Competition Organizer and qualification of the Teams for the Second Stage.
-
Information of the Team Leaders about the qualification of the Teams for the Second Stage.
-
Performance of the Teams qualified for the Second Stage during the Event.
-
Jury vote, selection of the winners of the Second Stage.
-
Announcement of the results of the Second Stage during the Event.
-
Presentation of awards during the Event.

V. International Stage
-
The team that qualifies for the international stage is entitled to a trip abroad to Catania (Italy) with the Organizer on 30.05.-01.06.2025.
-
Participants will perform on stage during the “K-POP DANCE FIGHT FEST” during the Etna Comics festival.
-
The Organizer covers the costs of the trip.
-
Each participant must be at least 18 years old (on 30.05.2024) to qualify for the trip.
-
The group that qualifies for the international stage cannot have more than seven members.
-
Participation in the international stage is voluntary.
-
The song selected for the national stage may be changed for the needs of the international stage.
-
The composition of the team may be modified for the needs of the international stage.

V. Winners and Prizes
-
In the Second Stage of the Competition, three Winners will be selected from among all the Teams qualified for the Second Stage.

The following cash prizes will be awarded in the Competition:

For “1st place” a prize of PLN 4,000;
-
For “2nd place” a prize of PLN 2,000;
-
For “3rd place” a prize of PLN 1,000;
-
-
The Winner of the Competition does not have the right to transfer the right to the prize to third parties.
-
In the event that the Participant selected by the Organizer does not meet the conditions of the Competition, another Winner will be selected.
-
The Prize will be presented to the Winners on stage during Stage Two.​

VII. Final Provisions
-
The Organizer has the right to make the following decisions, if they are necessary to ensure the proper conduct of the Competition and to select the best Competition Works:

exclusion of Participants of the Competition,
-
cancellation of the Application
-

The Organizer's decisions referred to in paragraph 1 may be made in the event of a Participant violating the provisions of §2 and §3 of the Regulations
-
The Organizer reserves the right to change these Regulations at any time without giving a reason, if this does not affect the acquired rights of the Participants.

The Organizer has the right to disqualify a Participant and/or Team who did not inform about the participation of persons under eighteen years of age during the Applications, or has Participants under sixteen years of age on the day of Stage Two.

The Organizer reserves the right to cancel the Competition at any time without giving a reason.

The Participant has the right to contact the Organizer in matters related to the Competition at the following address: dance@miohi.pl or via instagram: @88squad_kpop.

The Participant has the right to apply for a justification of the decision related to qualifying for Stage Two, and the decision related to selecting the Winners of the Competition.
